Embroidered Saree is known to be the unsurpassed formula of traditional Indian wear.  And when it is the matter of Embroidery Saree are considered as appearance snatchers.

The Embroidered Saree is typically worn over a petticoat with a shirt known as a choli or ravika forming the higher garment. In the history of Indian dress the Embroidered Saree is traced back to the Indus Valley Civilizations, which flourished during 2800-1800 BCE around the spaghetti western part of the Indian subcontinent.

In Pakistan, saris are less commonly worn than the Salwar kameez which is damaged through the country. Because of its long overtone with the Hindu culture and it exposing the abdominal and navel, Embroidered Saree is considered to be against the injunctions of Islam and as a ‘Hindu dress’.  Even though, saris have been worn by people living in the region that is now Pakistan since ancient times, it has lost popularity since 1947

Today in 2010, Embroidered Saree have a lot of work done on them. Zari, embroidery, organza, zardosy, sequence, cut work, mirror work, patchwork, pearl work, kasab, kundan, are all different kinds of work, which beautify the saree.
