Pre- Eid sale of all kinds of shalwar kameez have added pace through the last one week in all chief Karachi markets as Indian outfits, due to quality produce, have managed to occupy 15 to 20 percent of the city market.

Major attraction for shoppers in city’s main markets included Tariq Road, M A Jinnah Road, Saddar, Paposh Nagar, Liaquatabad, Clifton, Hyderi Market, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Gulistan-e-Jauher have all kinds of shalwar kameez.

Manager of D.J. Kurta Corner, a major retailer of one of the most popular spot of Shalwar Kameez at Saddar Cooperative Market, told Daily Times, that after prolonged poor response from customers, sales of all varieties have gained momentum during the last 6 to 7 days.

Compared to previous year, Eid business of shalwar kameez has increased by 10 to 20 percent, as large number of buyers has been visiting daily all outlets offering various varieties. “This year, new variety of Indian shalwar kameez has drawn attention of regulars aspiring for quality material and looking for some change compared to previous years. Explaining his point of view he said for the first time a new variety of Indian Chicken Shalwar Kameez was introduced in the market, which has drawn large number of customers.
