This skirt pattern is easy to sew. It is a knee length skirt that is lower in front and higher in back, with a bent backside. It has two different backs to choose from, one that works better with stretch fabric, and one that works better with non-stretch fabric. Of course, you can always choose to sew either pattern in stretch as well as non-stretch fabric. Just remember that you have to put a zip in a non-stretch skirt, to enable you to get it over the hips when dressing. Pattern does not include zips, but sewing instructions explain how zips can be included in the pattern.

A waistband lengthens both the front and back part of the skirt with the width of the waistband. This is the only difference in the patterns. The skirt pattern without waistband is cut rather low on the hips. If you want a slightly higher waistline without using a waistband you will have to alter the pattern. A skirt sewn in a seating position cannot be altered without moving the tucks in the side seams of the back piece.

Below you will find pattern pages to alter the main pattern. They have the same page numbers as the pages of the original pattern and you simply exchange these for the alternative of a higher waistline.
